Terms of Service
These terms cover this website, the desktop MCP server and the companion phone app (together, the service), which are operated by Heron Networks LLC. By using the service you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it. Our Privacy Policy explains what data we handle.
What the service is
The desktop MCP server lets an AI agent that speaks the Model Context Protocol list USB-connected microcontroller boards, flash them, read and write their serial port, and drive their pins. The companion phone app can relay a Bluetooth LE board's serial port to that server over your local network. The free tier is the full desktop MCP server with unlimited local boards. It is provided at no charge.
License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the software for your own projects, on devices you own or are authorized to use. You may not resell it, sublicense it, or remove notices from it. Pro is a license to use one additional feature of the same software, not a transfer of ownership. Third-party tools the server calls, such as each board vendor's flashing CLI, are covered by their own licenses.
Accounts
You sign in with your email address by a one-time link. You are responsible for keeping your email account, your Pro license key and your bridge pairing token private, and for activity under them. You can delete your account yourself at any time from the Account tab of the app or by signing in on the website; deletion is immediate and permanent.
Purchases and refunds
Pro is a single one-time purchase of $20. It is not a subscription, it does not renew, and there is no other paid tier. It unlocks the phone bridge for your account. Pro is on sale only when the checkout on the pricing page is open, which is when the companion app is available in the stores.
Purchases made on the website are processed by Stripe, and purchases made in the iOS or Android app are processed by Apple or Google. Refunds for an in-app purchase are handled by that store under its own policy, and we cannot issue them on the store's behalf. Website purchases are final except where the law of your country says otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits any consumer right you have by law.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to attack or probe systems or devices you do not own or have permission to test, to interfere with the service or other users, or to try to get around the Pro entitlement, a license key or an account check. We may suspend an account that does.
Your hardware and your agent
You are responsible for the safety of any hardware you connect. Flashing firmware can brick a device, and pin and bus commands can damage a board or whatever is wired to it. An AI agent acts on your instructions and its own judgment and can make mistakes; review what it is about to do before you let it touch hardware that matters, and keep a way to recover the board. Use of the service is at your own risk.
Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it works with every board or firmware version.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, Heron Networks LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, damaged hardware or lost profits arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro, or zero if you use only the free tier. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits.
Changes and ending use
We may update these terms and the service. When the terms change materially we will update this page, and continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the new terms. You can stop using the service at any time, and we may end access for a breach of these terms.
